....

I have been on a interesting road -- It all started that one day on a beautiful island in 1991 where I was consuming a chicken
burger during lunch time. " Do you know what you are eating there? " asked a colleague and I was dumbstruck by her
question and I responded in the obvious funny way; " Chicken burger? " I'll bring you in a book tomorrow " she said and so
she did and I read " Diet for a New America " And it woke something up in me and I turned Vegetarian very soon after
consuming this wealth of insights.

My road to -- wanna know it all -- started and my personal health book (and many others) library started to grow and grow
and I found myself on a mission to be healthier and to find a diet that will benefit me, everybody else and the planet we live
on! I ones again was different then most people of this world but did not care -- I knew this was a path I had to walk.

I became a Vegan two years later and this Vegan suit fitted me well and I felt truly I was (and still am) making a difference
in the world.

The hair styling profession I have been in for over 20 years was the next thing I needed to leave behind for the passion
that I found in the Vegan way of life. I went back to school in 2001 and became a student at the;  IET school for alternative
nutrition and cooking in Cotati, California and signed up for the -- 'Whole Foods Chef program'.
Much more knowledge came my way and besides the very interesting and profound lectures about health by Mr.Ed Bauman
M.ed. Ph.D. himself a seeker of truth towards the connection between food and health (after his mother died of cancer)
learned also the more professional way to put all these goodies together in beautiful delicious dishes. I became a Vegan
Whole Food Chef and loved this new direction in life.

Only 2 months passed after receiving my diploma when I landed my dream-job. Preparing healthy meals for Yogi's in the
jungles of Costa Rica was a delight and my experience with food and its many misconceptions held by the majority of people
was growing. My cook book that I produced was very well received and again I felt I was making a difference in the world of
healthy eating. The idea's of starting cooking classes in the beautiful surroundings of the jungle were playing but I felt it was
not the direction I wanted to take.

In those jungles of Costa Rica I learned a new and different respect for the power of food by going 100 % raw and in those
8 weeks my view and passion and more so the respect for raw life foods found new truths and potentials !

My decision to go back to Europe was one of a few doubts but I felt that Europe had its challenges and so I decided to
experience the beautiful culture of Spain (sunshine being so important to me) I have been now one year in Spain and I
see the country changing and the wave of healthy eating has even reached these shores.

There is also here a imbalance but the other side of the scale has arrived ; Yoga, Meditation, Life consulars, Holistic
therapies and so on are growing as the demands are naturally increasing. People are becoming aware of what it means
to be healthy. Many people are stuck in many believes surrounding health and diet and cultural influence is predominant
here as well

So this is me -- I feel that I can do important work here by providing health information for people who would like to reach
a healthier life style and wanna feel the benefits of a more balanced, wholesome diet.

Thank you

Wilco
